Products
Fluting is the backbone of corrugated board and is the component that provides strength and rigidity, enabling the board to withstand blows and changes in temperature and humidity during transport. Thanks to its special manufacturing process and the use of premium quality birch wood sourced in Finland and Russia, Powerflute offers outstanding moisture resistance and unbeatable stacking strength allowing the use of lighter, more cost-effective packaging.
Applications
Nordic semi-chemical fluting is used wherever superior strength, rigidity and moisture resistance are required.The main application is in corrugated boxes for long-distance transport of fresh and frozen produce. Other applications include packaging of high-value industrial products such as automotive components, consumer electrical goods and agricultural products. High-quality corrugated boxes are suitable for both transport and display and represent a more cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to other forms of packaging.
Markets
The principal markets are in fruit growing countries in Western and Southern Europe such as Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece. Powerflute also has a significant share of the developing markets in Asia and South America.
