Mill facts

The mill is located in the middle of Finland in Kuopio. It has a long track record in fluting making – the production started in 1968. Savon Sellu has specialized in manufacturing high-quality, semi-chemical fluting. The mill’s certified quality systems include ISO9001, ISO14001 and food safety management certificate ISO 22000. Capacity of the mill is 275 000 t/a.

Reel basics

• Machine trim width 6600 mm
• Standard grammages 120, 130, 140, 150, 160 and 175 g/m²
• Two reel diameters available, 1250 and 1450 mm
• One core type, inner diameter 4" = 101,6 mm
• Minimum reel width 800 mm, maximum 3600 mm (for diameter 1250 mm) and 2850 mm (for diameter 1450 mm)
• All reels are wrapped with two layers of kraftliner, two discs on both ends, outer disc of PE-laminated kraftliner
