Powerflute Ltd. appoints new CEO and a new Mill Manager

Powerflute Ltd. Savon Sellu, the producer of high quality virgin fiber based semi-chemical fluting at its facility in Kuopio has appointed Mr Juha Koukka as the new CEO effective from 1st January 2007.
Mr Koukka will succeed Mr Ian Halliday who led the successful turnaround of the company after it was taken over from M-real in January 2005.
We are confident that Mr Koukka will continue to lead the company with the same passion for success, commented Mr Halliday who will continue as Vice Chairman in the Board of Directors of the company.
Mr Koukka who is currently Mill Manager for the company will be succeeded by Mr Juha Kovanen.
Mr Kovanen will join Powerflute in 1st January 2007 from M-real where he is Mill Manager for Simpele board and paper mills.
We welcome Mr Kovanen to the management team of Powerflute where his deep know-how of paper making and investment projects will undoubtedly add value to our team, says Mr Halliday.
